Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a pivotal member of our sales team; responsible for generating and qualifying leads to support the growth of our customer base. The BDR plays a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, initiating contact with new customer signups, through onboarding, and contributing to our overall sales success.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluating and qualifying leads in determining their level of interest and readiness for engagement with the sales team.
Collect and maintain accurate lead information within the CRM system.
Schedule appointments or meetings for Account Executives (AEs) with high revenue & qualified leads.
Ensure seamless handover of leads to the AEs, providing them with well-qualified prospects.
Develop and maintain relationships with entry-level clients, understanding their needs and providing relevant information.
Nurture entry-level clients to keep them engaged and interested in our products or services.
Collaborate closely with Account Executives and other sales team members to align strategies and ensure effective lead handovers.
Share information and best practices to enhance the overall sales process.
Work closely with customer support to facilitate seamless onboarding and setup for clients.
Approach all lead interactions with a customer-centric attitude, providing value and addressing customer inquiries.
Requirements:
Community-minded individual, energized by helping non-profit organizations achieve their fundraising goals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Adaptable and willing to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment
Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
1-2 years of sales experience as a business development representative or similar roles
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, sales, or equivalent is considered an asset
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with CRM systems, ideally Hubspot
Proficiency in MS Office
