Business Development Coordinator

The college is now accepting applications for a Business Development Coordinator position. The Business Development Coordinator will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with industry and partners, and contributing to the advancement of the college’s initiatives and goals.
Working directly on projects that fall outside of the organization’s core business and daily operations, the role requires a self-motivated individual who can develop strategies for business growth, perform market research, and collaborate across departments to ensure the successful implementation of business initiatives. Responsible for the planning, executing and closing of external contracts and special projects, the individual must be detail-oriented with sound judgement, have the ability to prioritize and be eager to take on new projects.
Reporting directly to the Business Development Director the individual will work as a part of the college team. Some of the duties will include:
· Conducting market research to identify areas for potential growth
· Proposal writing
· Networking to promote the college
· Developing and maintaining client relations
The successful candidate must be willing to travel as needed and have the flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when required, depending on project demands or deadlines. The location of this position is to be determined and will be based in either St. John’s or Corner Brook.
Qualifications for this position:
  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary Diploma or Degree program in Business Administration or a related discipline
  • 2 years of related experience would be an asset
  • Ability to work at a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior computer skills (especially in the MS Word and Excel programs)
  • Superior written and oral skills as well as outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
