We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team in our Maintenance department. Custom Helicopters Ltd. provides helicopter support to clients for various applications, while providing high-quality services with a commitment to safety, quality, and value. The Regulatory Compliance Manager reports directly to the Director of Regulatory Compliance (PRM) and is primarily responsible for the Maintenance Department. This role oversees regulatory processes and training standards, ensuring the organization complies with all Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of CARs, Transport Canada standards, and a solid background in compliance and training within the aviation industry. Responsibilities
Continuously improve the maintenance training program by developing courses, refining delivery methods, and conducting evaluations.
Assess and issue certification authorizations to maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Oversee the technical records department to maintain accurate aircraft records and ensure maintenance schedules comply with company and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on regulatory changes to ensure maintenance policies and procedures remain compliant.
Investigate compliance issues and implement strategic corrective actions to drive continuous safety and process improvements.
Demonstrating meticulous attention to reviewing and managing documentation and regulatory processes, while proactively identifying and addressing potential compliance issues or risks before they escalate.
Occasional travel is required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a regulatory compliance role in the aviation maintenance industry is required,
Aircraft maintenance engineer license is considered an asset.
In-depth knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) as it pertains to the performance and control of maintenance.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including senior management, technical teams, and regulatory authorities.
Strong leadership abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, mobile technologies, and maintenance tracking systems.
