Pay Classification:

AVSEC training would be paid at $15.20

On-job training would be paid at $17.30

Pay rates once approved to full duties paid at $21.53

This is a casual position with an on demand or as needed work schedule.

A Security Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring all Transport Canada regulations are met within the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The expectation of this position is that all individuals would be highly trained and would have the ability to escort construction workers through the airport, specifically to restricted areas. Individuals will work 12 hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation consisting of 2 days and 2 nights.

Halifax Stanfield offers Canada Customs services on a 24-hour, seven day a week basis, and it’s the only airport in Atlantic Canada with U.S. preclearance and International to Domestic processing facilities. The Airport is a major economic generator, contributing $3.8 billion annually to the provincial economy pre-pandemic. In 2020, Halifax Stanfield served 995,000 passengers and processed nearly 33,000 metric tons of cargo.
