Administrator, Standards of Practice

As the Administrator, Standards of Practice, you will work directly with the Standards of Practice Advisor to directly support and coordinate CPSA's Standards of Practice framework.

This is a long-term contract opportunity to December 31, 2025, working 35 hours/week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the administration of the Standards of Practice (SOP) Framework:
    • Provide assistance with the Standards of Practice consultation/review process, review timeline, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Perform jurisdictional and environmental scans to identify policy gaps/priorities and inform Advisor.
    • Compile issues/requests/suggestions for standards or document changes; maintain historical record of changes/updates.
    • Maintain documentation and database of points for inclusion in Standards of Practice, Advise to the Profession, and Advise to Albertans, maintain policy library/archive, glossary and consolidated versions.
    • Maintain accurate stakeholder contact lists.
    • Assist with message development and distribution to members and stakeholders.
    • Plan and coordinate information sessions to provide team members with updates to practices and policy.
    • Compile, develop and distribute training and other materials for education sessions.
    • Collaborate with Communications team to update and maintain Standards or Practice page and resource tools on intranet and web page.
    • Publish consultation feedback and track responses, stats, trends, etc.

  • Provide administrative support to Standards of Practice team and Office of the Registrar department:
    • Compile and coordinate responses for stakeholder requests for feedback, including timely responses to regulated members, Council, and public members.
    • Maintain accurate distribution lists.
    • Coordinate various meetings, prepare and distribute meeting materials, meeting minutes, etc.
    • Support various collaboration projects related to Standards of Practice.
    • Assist in preparation of Council memos and presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • Business diploma

Experience:
  • Requirement of 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Skills:
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Proficient project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective team player and customer service focus; ability to work with multiple internal and external partners.

SALARY
The salary for this position is $67,809 and includes a benefit package.

During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton Office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
