Program Administrator, Continuing Education & Extended Studies (Term)

The Opportunity
The Continuing Education & Extended Studies department at Keyano College seeks a Program Administrator in a term position ending on or before January 25, 2026. The Program Administrator reports to the Managers of Continuing Education & Extended Studies and assesses and responds to the industry's and community's training needs through a consultative process. Key activities include program planning, budgeting, scheduling, contracts, quality curriculum, collaboration partnerships, course delivery, and evaluation.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Quality Management: Ensuring the excellence of existing non-credit programs and micro-credentials.
  • Innovation: Leading the charge in new program development collaborating with Deans and the Teaching and Learning Department.
  • Community Focus: Assessing and responding to industry and community training needs through a consultative process, providing valuable feedback to our Leadership team.
  • Strategic Alignment: Supporting the Dean and Manager in achieving the goals under continuing education and extended studies that align with Keyano College’s Strategic Plan.
  • Customer-Centric: Providing customer-focused training solutions to the industry and community, achieving measurable results, and adjusting programming to satisfy customer needs.
  • Education Pathways: Creating education pathways and lifelong learning opportunities for students and alumni while minimizing barriers to accessing education for prospective students.
  • Community Development: Building an alliance between academia, industry, and government identifying skill gaps, and developing local community-focused programs.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field is preferred, and having 1-2 years of experience in post-secondary education is a plus. Alternatively, a Business/Office Diploma with 5+ years of relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge or experience in Entrepreneurship is welcome but not required.
  • A Class 5 driver’s license is necessary for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

An equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge acceptable by the College may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of Adult Education is an asset.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Indigenous Protocols is preferred.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
