Qualifications: · Be Kind, Empathic, Dependable, Team Player · Knowledge and understanding of medical office work ie. billing insurances, scheduling appointments an asset · Completion of a recognized Office Administration program an asset. Responsibilities: · Work directly with Clinical Director and multi-disciplinary healthcare team. · Managing the day-to-day activities of the clinic by providing administrative duties such as: scheduling appointments, answering telephones, scanning, faxing, mailing, etc. · Greeting patients and maintaining a pristine friendly environment. · Ensuring confidentiality of patient records, medical information and communicate with insurance companies, adjustors and case managers · Maintaining accurate files & patient records, consent forms, processing payments, end of day transaction reports and collections of all outstanding accounts. · Implement protocols and procedures to improve staff productivity, be responsible for managing inventory reports and ordering products. · Follow all reporting requirements for third party vendors – WCB, MVA, LTD claims. Laundry and cleaning duties as needed. * Note: Training is provided on all aspects of the role with ongoing support from a core of other administrative assistants.
