Job description
As assistant manager site operations you will work closely together with the site operations manager and support him in managing and overseeing J-Tec’s commissioning and construction activities. You will play a key-roll in the further growth and development of both departments. You will get the change to help manage and oversee daily operations of a successful and highly-motivated commissioning and construction team.
Your tasks will be varied and depend on the different team needs and phases of a project.
Therefore you will:

  • draft work instructions, trainings and guidelines on good practices;
  • audit potential contractors for execution of the works;
  • ensure contractor debriefings and evaluations;
  • execute quality spot checks and report to the site operations manager on KPI’s;
  • assist the coordination teams when needed with the development of construction execution plans, site mobilization plans, construction scopes and bid packages;
  • conduct constructability reviews to facilitate the construction works;
  • supervise staff, including the management of the resource planning of the department;

Your profile
  • You possess a technical degree from a higher education (Master/Bachelor) or equivalent by relevant experience.
  • You have experience with managing and organizing commissioning and/or mechanical construction sites, the corresponding materials, safety and quality regulations.
  • You like to work in a team, consult and discuss with colleagues and take on the lead when necessary.
  • You are organizationally strong and work in a structured way. This allows you to process the administration efficiently with MS Office, Sharepoint and other internal programs.
  • You have strong communication skills and speak fluent Dutch and English, knowledge of German is an asset.
