Performs all duties in accordance with the Business Unit’s Standard Operating Policies and Procedures.
Assists the Supervisor, RM and ARM in maintaining the SBU’s standards of cleanliness or problems in the surroundings, (eg floor cleanliness, messy tables/service stations.
· Assists the Supervisors and Managers in efficiently managing the SBU in accordance with the Business Unit’s Standard Operating Policies and Procedures with the objective of achieving maximum guest satisfaction. · Ensures that guests receive prompt, friendly and personalized service. · Ensures guests are greeted and served with a professional, positive and enthusiastic attitude. · Cater to the needs of our guests by suggested selling of the SBU’s food and beverage items. · Ensures full knowledge of the SBU’s Daily Specials and promotes their sale. · Ensures timely service and checks on guests throughout their meal to ensure everything is satisfactory. · Takes orders correctly and enters into the Company POS software for completion of the order. · Ensures drinks are served in the correct order, in line with the correct standards of presentation, hygiene and temperature. · Ensures all food items ordered are served in the correct order. · Sets tables in line with the SBU’s Standard Operating Policies and as required by the guests’ orders. · Ensures kitchen delivers orders correctly, serve guests, efficiently and politely. · Ensures timely clearing of all used cutlery, plates and glassware as needed. · When guests signal for the cheque, ensure prompt and efficient payment – giving change as necessary. · Ensures guest receives printed receipt. · Ensures any tips are placed in the SBU’s Tip Box. · Keeps bar and cake display cabinet and all surrounding areas clean and tidy in line with the SBU’s Standard Operating Procedures. · Ensure all equipment used I the work station is kept clean and tidy. · Ensures all SBU cutlery, crockery and glassware is clean and in good condition prior to placing on tables. · Ensures all tables under his responsibility are prepared prior to opening as per the SBU’s Standard Operating Policies and Procedures. · Ensures bussing tables, stations are kept clean and tidy – cleaning and sweeping as needed. · Keep bar and products’ display cabinet and surrounding areas, clean and free of debris. · Clean and maintain all equipment used in the work station. · Report any equipment problems to the SBU’s Supervisor in order that remedial action is taken to repair/change the equipment to ensure smooth operations. · Listens to our customers, it’s the first step to providing a great experience and we love how passionate our customers are about our brand. · Provides a great experience for our guests by providing exemplary guest service . · Advises our customers in a confident and competent manner. · Possesses excellent product knowledge in order to answer our guests’ enquiries and to resolve any issues. · Maintains a high standard of personal grooming and demeanor (body language, facial expressions). · Ensures complete understanding of the operations and Brand philosophy for Café Lilou and other Company SBUs, and conveys same to guests. · Notifies Managers of any special guests’ requests. · Full awareness of the Company’s Fire Safety Procedures and Health and Safety regulations. · Ability to switch roles quickly, by serving guests respectfully, swiftly and effectively and moving to complete other tasks. · Follows the SBU’s Lost and Found Procedures. · Notifies Supervisor/Managers of any guest complaints.
