Production Manager - Seafood Industry
Job Description:
- Planning and organizing production schedules.
- Conducting efficiency studies.
- Creating work shifts for round-the-clock operations.
- Setting production objectives and implementing action plans.
- Allocating work tasks based on staff specialization and history.
- Monitoring production for compliance with procedures and standards.
- Assessing project and resource requirements and conducting forecasts.
- Maintaining accurate inventory of raw materials and processed food products.
- Ensuring staff health and safety and adhering to company regulations.
- Determining quality control standards.
- Overseeing production processes, conducting surveys, and re-negotiating schedules.
- Selecting and ordering materials, ensuring product and raw material storage.
- Preparing periodic reports on food production activities.
- Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving production process issues.
- Decision Making: Allocating resources in line with company standards and productivity targets.
- Planning and Organization: Managing daily production department planning for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Job Challenge: Managing and motivating production team for optimum efficiency and performance.
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in food science, food technology, manufacturing engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Must have food manufacturing/processing experience.
- Must have 5+ years of seafood production technician experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills.
