What you'll be doing
The YMH Initiative Project Officer will support to the implementation of the YMH Initiative within SNSWLHD. The position will undertake the full role of project management activities including project planning, stakeholder negotiation, milestone reporting and implementation of quality improvement processes.
The Project Officer will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including SNSWLHD managers and staff, Headspace managers and staff, consumers and carers, key external partners and the NSW Ministry of Health to facilitate the effective implementation of the YMH Initiative Team.
The YMH Initiative is a new service designed to provide early access to specialist mental health care for young people presenting to headspace with severe and complex mental health needs. This will be achieved by providing dedicated resources and through strategic partnerships and regional planning to improve the coordination and integration of youth mental health services.
The YMH Initiative and Model of Care will be implemented and established as part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and the project officer position will report directly to the Manager CAMHS.
