The role
We are currently seeking a new member to join our team, in the full time position of Village & Flights Supervisor. Reporting to the Facilities and Administration Superintendent, the successful candidate is responsible for the management, planning and coordination of site access and flight services and accommodation allocation.
Key duties include
- Assist with Daily management of Newmont Tanami Operations Accommodation Village - comprising of 1118 rooms and associated infrastructure.
- Assisting with Newmont Mine Site Janitorial and Catering Services - consisting of more than 50000m2 of floor area.
- Provide cover to the Superintendent – Facilities and Accommodation when offsite or on leave.
- Assist Aerodrome Manager for the Newmont Granites Aerodrome Facility.
- Assist with the overseeing of the administration functions associated with Site Access & Flights in all relevant software systems.
- Assisting with the identifying problems associated with Site Access & Flights submissions and assist with resolution.
- Directing accurate information to the Superintendent Facilities & Accommodation to ensure correct allocation of flights and accommodation for all new employees, short term workers, shutdown workers and visitors, plus directing relevant workflow.
You will also
- Coordination of Newmont Document Control ( Records and Controlled Documents).
- Subject matter expert of systems including +Process, Intuition, Inflight and SAP.
- Review billing and raise purchase requests.
- Conduct audits of our service provider and ensure their services are in line with the contract agreement.
- Maintain and continue to build a strong, respectful and collaborative relationship with our service providers.
Your skills, knowledge, and experience checklist
- Experience working in/for a remote site arranging flight and accommodation functionality.
- Previous exposure in supporting site services/facilities function (advantageous).
- Airline or Hospitality operational experience (desired).
- Excellent ability to communicate and to work within a team.
- Excellent information technology skills, including word processing, database applications, and the Internet.
- Ability to think strategically, to express ideas clearly, good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to show initiative and have the ability to work independently.
- Sound people, financial, management and administrative skills.
- Experience using SAP and In-Flight essential.
Working Conditions
The role is based in Tanami and offers a FIFO roster from Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth or Brisbane.
