Make an impact at Serco As a Trade Instructor – Kitchens in the Industries & Trades team at the Clarence Correctional Centre, you’ll support the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates by delivering essential trade training programs. You’ll work closely with inmates to develop skills that will help them gain post-release employment, contributing to their successful transition into the community. You’ll make a positive impact by:
Delivering and evaluating kitchen-based trade training programs
Overseeing and supervising inmates in their daily kitchen routines
Supporting inmate rehabilitation by encouraging participation in programs
Ensuring compliance with Work Health & Safety policies
Managing kitchen inventory and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency
Preparing reports on activities and maintaining accurate training records
Serco is a place for you To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain within the first year)
Minimum 5 years of experience in a kitchen environment
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations
Strong communication and mentoring skills
A commitment to cultural awareness and inmate rehabilitation
