About the role
We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Podcasting and Social Media students by joining our team of teachers on a permanent part-time (0.5 FTE - 17.5 hours per week) basis located at Ultimo Campus

Essential Requirements:
- Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Diploma of Screen and Media or equivalent.
- Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document (here) for details ) OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week 'Paid to Learn' course
- Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience relevant to your industry
- Professional experience at storytelling and writing stories for a range of media. Experience and knowledge in multiple social media platforms as well as research, interviewing and mobile journalism skills. Ability to edit video and audio content for a fast turnaround. Skills at presenting to camera or on radio as well as the capability to plan and produce a range of content using tools such as Adobe Audition, Cap Cut, Canva and or equivalent.
Highly Regarded:
- Knowledge, skills and experience working in a media environment including radio broadcasting, newsroom, live streaming, video production studios. Proficiency editing on smart phones as well as knowledge and experience with associated programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro and any AI software for video, images, audio and writing.
Paid to Learn
: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent, you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14 weeks Training and Assessment course. Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.
