About the Role
The Library Information Services Team consists of Teacher Librarians and Library Technicians, offering access to an extensive range of resources relevant to the information needs of learners. The Teacher Librarian’s role is predominantly teaching and collaborating. The team works closely with teachers and students to develop tasks meaningful to curriculum studies, as well as support the development of skills and multiliteracies. The Teacher Librarian works across the P-12 school.
Work Pattern – Teach the applicable full load of classes. Monday to Friday. All staff are expected to be on campus from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Key Duties
Collaboratively plan, teach, and evaluate units of work across P-12.
Advocate and support STEAM and the development of reading, literacy and digital literacy with students and teachers across P-12.
Demonstrate an understanding of the IB philosophy and framework.
Be familiar with Oliver (or a similar Library Management System) and Schools Catalogue Information Service (SCIS).
About You
High level of understanding of digital literacy and inquiry learning.
Expertise in developing, implementing and assessing programmes collaboratively.
Possess a Master’s degree in education in teacher librarianship and hold a current NESA registration.
Be able to demonstrate excellence in improving student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
Have familiarity with the NSW Department of Education Information Fluency Framework.
Knowledge of the ACARA digital technologies framework.
Be able to demonstrate how their teaching practice incorporates a sound evidence-base and inspires young learners.
