The Wide Bay Wayside Systems Team are currently seeking a Systems Maintainer to join their team based in Maryborough.

What Queensland Rail has to offer:

9 day fortnight - Monday to Friday with every second Friday off (3 day weekend)
Complete Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling if not already obtained.
Your annual earning potential will likely be between $68,000-$90,000 - including penalties + super (Based on qualifications)
Travel on paid work time including expenses

About the role
The purpose of the position is to carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical signalling equipment including standby generator plants if applicable, and report on the performance and condition of the asset to ensure it is safe and in effective operation. This position looks after a large range of track which requires regular travelling, and potential requirement to work away from home.

In this role you will:

Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical signalling equipment
Participate in a On Call roster and be required to travel throughout the district
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with WH&S requirements
Undertake accurate and timely administrative and recording duties

We promote development in our team and in addition to the above-mentioned training you will have the opportunity to gain a MR licence, commercial poison licence (ACDC), High Risk Work Licence (LF) & (DG) and Working Safely at Heights ticket.

About you

Current drivers’ licence
Mechanically minded
Already possess or willing to complete Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling
Team player who can be relied upon to work autonomously
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Must have capacity to travel and work within Regional Queensland
Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
