The Role: The Rooms Controller is the administrative heartbeat of our Front Office team. In this key role, you will be responsible for supporting our front-line, guest facing team. Interrupting and actioning reports, you will work cohesively with the Housekeeping, In Room Dining and Engineering departments to ensure a high 5-star service standard is maintained. This is an ideal role for a Guest Service Agent or experienced Front Office Attendant, looking for their next career step. Our ideal candidate will possess:
A desire to create memorable experiences for our guests through care and empathy
At least one year’s experience as a Guest Service Agent, preferably in a high volume environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with OPERA PMS
An eye for detail and accuracy
Valid Australian working rights
The availability to work a rotating, 7 day roster
Responsibilities Include:
Participating and reviewing the daily handover for the Rooms Division
Loading and lodging maintenance into HOTSOS
Reading, prioritising and actioning emails
Reviewing and understanding, in house, arrival and departure reports and actioning requests
Updating VIP status and guest profile notes
Assigning and allocating rooms and suites based on business needs and guest requests
