SPa RTa is located at Nambour General Hospital and supports the spoke sites at the Wide Bay, Central Queensland and Central West Hospital and Health services, including general practitioners and RACF within their respective regions.

The SCHHS provides healthcare to a rapidly growing population. There has been significant investment in services over the past few years, in particular the establishment of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and the Nambour General Hospital redevelopment. The SCHHS also delivers services through hospitals in Gympie, Caloundra and Maleny. In addition, the SCHHS operates a residential aged care facility in Nambour and provides community health services and community mental health services through a range of stand-alone facilities located across the Sunshine Coast region.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance and care for patients in all five phases of palliative care.
- Assist the Medical Director, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff to ensure that Specialist Palliative Medicine services provided are of the highest standard and delivered in an efficient and effective manner, and to be involved in the provision of patient services.
- Contribute to positive outcomes for the patient and family/carer through the provision of specialist telehealth services.
Salary rates: $2,583 - $2,995 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4 - L9) (temporary part-time position, 40 hrs p.f.) until February 2025.
