About the Team The Quality Inspection team forms part of the greater Quality team, which encompasses Supplier Quality, Information Management Systems, Change Management, Audit, Planning and Quality Operations. These roles will be based onsite full time at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in Redbank, Ipswich, QLD. About the Role Reporting to the Incoming Quality Inspection Manager, you will responsible for ensuring that product deliveries, and corresponding documentation, comply with specification detailed in the Purchase Order, Drawing and other technical specifications. You will initially work day shift for a period of time and then progress to working afternoon shifts, once you have completed the required on the job training. As the Quality Inspector, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
Conduct incoming goods inspection of products as per inspection plan, engineering drawing and product specification;
Measure product and validate supplier measurements with layout or CMM/3D scanning measuring equipment;
Verify supplier documentation, which include dimensional reports and material certificates;
Participate in the creation and maintenance of incoming goods inspection plans;
Raise and coordinate detailed nonconformance reports and correction action reports (CAR / 8D) for nonconforming product within SAP;
Coordinate Material Review Board meetings to determine disposition of Nonconforming product;
Perform stock sorts to segregate nonconforming product; and
Administration relating to inwards goods inspection.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

Experience in Quality Control or a relevant position within the manufacturing industry;
Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Quality or a relevant trade;
Proven experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings that include Geometric Dimension and Tolerance.
Experience with using layout measurement equipment;
Experience in ERP Systems such SAP would be highly desirable;
Ability to work afternoon shifts;
The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment; and
Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
