Your responsibilities will include:
Located on the beautiful NSW South Coast, we are seeking an Aviation Quality and Safety professional to join our growing team. Working as part of the Quality and Aviation Safety Team you will assist in the development and implementation of quality auditing and inspection procedures ensuring compliance with aviation standards and regulations. This is a broad role which requires sound knowledge of the maintenance system frameworks and a trouble -shooting mindset.
The primary focus of this role will include (not limited to):
- Conduct internal and external quality audits.
- Conduct event investigations independently or as part of team, enter data into Quality Management System covering RCA, corrective actions and verification.
- Support external audit activities including the provision of Quality and Aviation Safety data.
- Input/manage data entered into the internal QMS tracking software Ideagen Quality Management (IQM)
- Conduct inspections inclusive of all areas of maintenance including aircraft induction and exit
- Conduct inspections inclusive of all areas of Logistics and Supply
- Liaise with all relevant regulatory authorities to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversea the Quality Assurance System and Safety Management Systems (SMS) of Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA), Defence Contract Management Authority (DCMA) and International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)
- Other tasks as directed by the Quality and Aviation Safety Team Lead
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates with a passion for aviation safety, quality, a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail and working as part of a diverse team.
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations
- Formal qualifications in safety and lead audit
- Demonstrated experience using Quality Management applications. Specifically, Q-Pulse
- Minimum 4 years aviation experience in an MRO environment
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to build and foster collaborative relationships with people on all levels.
Highly Desirable
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant industry quality standards (ISO9001, AS9110, DASR 145/147)
- Demonstrated experience in MH60R inspection
- Experience working under Defence Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Instruction 8210
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
