The role

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and strong communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders across the service.
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Communications and Engagement, you will be the senior leader for design and digital communications, tools and platforms for HIQ. You will be responsible for the streamlined delivery of digital communications and graphic design activities, working in conjunction with QH's Strategic Communications Branch (SCB) and in partnership with HHSs and other Department stakeholders.
As a trusted expert in digital communications and graphic design you will be responsible for taking HIQ's digital and graphic design content and presence in innovative directions, using the latest technology, techniques and networks. The role will stretch across the digital and design realm, including web, photography, videography, and graphic design, and requires an experienced digital communications and graphic design professional who can confidently manage and direct best practice digital activities for HIQ.

Role fit

You will have demonstrated:

• Experience in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating graphic design and digital communications activity across multiple projects to support organisational goals.
• Extensive knowledge of design processes and techniques in a PC design environment, with intermediate to advanced skills using Adobe Premium Design software including In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator, and other design software.
• Strong attention to detail, with an excellent understanding of visual design principles, typography, colour theory and layout.
• Exemplary communication skills, with an ability to work to briefs, present concepts clearly and collect, interpret, and implement feedback from a variety of stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build influential and productive relationships across organisational and sector boundaries.
