Our client is a well-established, highly reputable Aged Care Provider which strives to deliver exceptional care and support to its residents. They are seeking multiple motivated and experienced Physio Aids to join their Residential aged care facilities.

2x roles, Required Locations: Batemans Bay & Moruya, NSW.

• Part time: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 3.30pm
• Part time: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 9:00am to 1.00pm

The Role

This is a varied position which focuses on supporting the physical wellbeing of aged care residents. Responsibilities include:

• Implementation of physiotherapy programs in a group setting, or on a one to one basis as directed by the physiotherapist
• Support to care staff to promote resident independence
• Contribute to relevant improvement strategies for the team
• Complete relevant documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Other duties as required by the manager/supervisor consistent with the role
• Adhere to all relevant processes, policies, legislative requirements and quality guidelines
• Participate in Accreditation processes including preparation and site visits

What You'll Need

In order to succeed in this role, you will require the following:

• Either a Certificate IV in Leisure & Health, Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (specialising in Physiotherapy) or relevant qualifications (also desirable: therapy qualification such as Massage therapy, Yoga, Personal trainer, Physio aide course with Physiotherapy Association)
• Minimum of 500 hours experience in a similar role
• Experience working with Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, residents and their families
• High level of attention to detail and ability to plan and prioritise
