About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide a highly customer focused coordination role aimed at developing, implementing and maintaining processes that enable all patients (both public and private) to make an informed choice regarding patient election. In addition to this, this position is to assist with the identification of Medicare Ineligible and Compensable occasions of service and admissions ensuring appropriate reimbursement for services are facilitated.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide a high quality, customer focused liaison and option management service to patients ensuring patients receive an informed choice about treatment as a public or private patient.
- Undertake billing reviews through analysing morbidity and other diagnosis and procedure related data to ensure all chargeable services are identified and collected.
- Prepare appropriate replies to correspondence in line with policy and procedure ensuring a high quality of presentation and accuracy.
- Assist in the completion of essential admission paperwork and payment schedules for Medicare Ineligible and private patients.
- Maintain accurate financial records and controls for HBCIS and S/4HANA ensuring the accounting functions comply with Financial Management Standards, MNHHS Financial Management Practice Manual.
