Riverlife Church of Christ, St George & Dirranbandi We are seeking Co-Pastors with the ability to lead the mission, while holding to a strong commitment to teaching God’s word and caring for His people. Our vision is that we would find pastors with a heart for rural ministry, a love for the Lord Jesus Christ, a desire to strengthen the faith of the local believers and to partner with us in spreading the gospel throughout our community. The Lord is continuing to grow our churches not only in number but also deepening our relationship with Him. Therefore, we are very excited about these positions. Do you:
have heart for the gospel?
have the faith to believe that God can and will work in rural communities?
think that you can be the “Pastor to the Town” building strong relationships with people in the community?
think that you could see this position as a missional call to a young church seeking to outreach?
have great interpersonal skills?
believe that prayer changes things?
WANT A CHALLENGE!!!
St George & Dirranbandi Campus History: The Riverlife Church of Christ in St George began 5 years ago and established a campus in Dirranbandi. Currently has 3 elders spread across St George and Dirranbandi. The congregations each average about 20 - 25 weekly and a multi-generational congregation that is very active in our faith. Dirranbandi meets 3 times a month at the Dirran tennis Club building and once a month at a home in Dirranbandi. (meeting weekly) St George meets weekly at the Warrawee Aged Care Centre. There is the potential of building fellowship in Begonia, 75km NW from St George and continuing to support the campus in Dirranbandi, 100km SW from St George. At Dirranbandi we periodically run beer and BBQ Men’s nights that introduce a ‘topic of relevance from a Christian perspective’ to our non-Christian mates in a relaxed and informative way. We run weekly intergenerational bible studies, ladies KYB, men’s nights and participate in ministries at Warrawee Aged Care Centre. What the church can offer:
Full-time or Part-time positions (flexible work hours are negotiable)
A stipend guided by Qld Churches of Christ for this spiritual appointment
Assistance with housing
A supportive congregation
Who we are looking for:
Someone who feels God’s call to rural ministry, not just a position to be filled
Good pastoral and relational skills for the church and the town
A missional heart and the ability to lead people on that journey
