Scone Parish is in search of a part-time Secretary to provide administrative support to the Parish Priest (14 hours per week). Hours can be worked across Tuesday to Friday and are flexible to accommodate needs of the incumbent.

Job Description
The Parish Secretary role provides both clerical and administrative support to the Parish Priest, Pastoral Associate and is a member of the parish team to ensure the smooth and professional running of the administration of the Parish Office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Parish finances through Xero.
- Welcoming and helping all visitors of the Parish office.
- Coordination and implementation of office procedures.
- Maintain databases and records.
- Oversee the content of the Parish website.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience/Criteria
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
- Knowledge and experience in Xero Accounting Software required.
- Experience coordinating the administrative and organisational aspect of an office environment to maintain an efficient, flexible and cooperative workplace.
- Able to build and maintain relationships with people using tact and discretion whilst maintaining high standards of confidentiality.
- Sound time-management skills and ability to priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and work quickly, efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent verbal written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and cohesively in a team environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook.
- Comply with WHS requirements to maintain a safe workplace and safe systems of work.
- Ensure compliance with canon law, Diocesan guidelines/directives and relevant federal and state legislation.
Qualifications
- Tertiary Qualifications in Administration or other relevant disciplines or equivalent experience.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
