Joining Fortescue as a Master Data Cataloguer, you will be an important part of our Asset & Materials Management team. Reporting to the Superintendent of Materials Management, this role is pivotal in maintaining and improving Fortescue’s procurement and supply chain master data. Working closely with the Inventory and Maintenance teams, you will ensure the quality of material catalogues utilised by Fortescue operations are up to date and kept to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the end-to-end process of creating and maintaining all material master data.
- Supporting data cleansing, removing duplication and data enrichment activities.
- Reviewing the quality and consistency of the structure of new catalogue entries.
- Determining supply and consignment delivery lead times and updating subsequent master data.
- Finding and resolving data quality issues and errors in ERP Systems, including conducting regular data audits and analysis to understand the issue/s source.
- Assisting with the continuous development and improvement of SAP master data governance requirements and processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- A background in purchasing, and/or master data administration within the mining or industrial will be highly regarded.
- A strong grounding in data administration best practice, including design and architecture.
- Undergraduate degree in a related area, or equivalent industry experience.
- Sound understanding of procurement master data requirements and standards.
- Experience using SAP within the supply chain master data space.
- Advanced competency with procurement and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated capability with prioritizing work effectively and meeting set deadlines.
