How will I help? The Manager – Controls Oversight s upports the Consumer Division in proactively identifying, managing, mitigating and monitoring risks through key risk management programs focusing on controls, obligations and value chains. The Value Chain and Controls Management team reports into the Head of Business and Controls Monitoring within the Consumer Chief Operating Office (COO) and is primarily responsible for managing, assessing, and uplifting the controls within the Consumer Division COO and overseeing controls in the Lines of Business (LOBs) and Business Units (BUs) to ensure risks and obligations are adequately managed. You will also:
Work within a team of risk professionals to support the Division in managing, reporting and uplifting controls to ensure that they are fit for purpose to address obligations and risks. Adopt value chain views and insights as required
Contribute to the execution of the Controls Strategy to review, optimize and uplift control performance
Work with the BCM Chapter to achieve outcomes across the Divisions and broader organization.
Provide subject matter expertise to the business on controls, risk and compliance policies, standards and obligations to ensure business operations, risk management practices and controls are aligned to the wider Group
Contribute to providing reporting and insights to relevant forums. This includes divisional reporting, briefing notes, forums and any other risk reports required for provision to the Consumer LOBs and BUs
Perform control assessments on Consumer COO divisional controls
Contribute to the development of integrated and effective solutions for resolving risk and control issues and incidents to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives
Provide insights of themes emerging from QA reviews for business acceptance and actioning
Contribute to other key risk programs and reviews (where required) e.g. the deliverables in the CD Return to Medium Appetite Plans with appropriate cadence for LOBs and Line 2

Stakeholder Management skills
3-5 years’ work experience working within business risk teams, preferably in banking / financial services, risk management, including a material risk policy component related to the relevant risk class
Risk Management Framework experience and knowledge with focus on controls testing, obligation management and value chain understanding
Demonstrated experience in developing and embedding risk concepts and toolsets
Planning and organisational skills
Good communication – written & oral
High standard of professionalism
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
Experience working with process mapping tools, RCMs, Power BI, Power Apps, Tableau or other equivalent reporting tools
