THE ROLE

JOINT MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR – LM057 – ALICE SPRINGS
SO C (Commencing at $107,338 progressing to $115,905)

management between Traditional Owners, the Parks authorities, as well as outlining Central Land
Council’s (CLC) statutory responsibilities.

This role works closely with Traditional Owners and parks authorities to ensure the principles and
objectives of joint management are being upheld. This includes recognising, valuing and incorporating
Aboriginal culture, knowledge and decision making processes and utilising the combined land
management skills and expertise of both joint management partners.

As a joint management coordinator, you will manage a team of joint management officers to establish
close working relationships with Traditional Owners in order to understand their ongoing aspirations for
the joint management of their land and facilitate meetings in some of the most beautiful and culturally
significant locations in Central Australia. You will maintain high-level relationships with parks authorities
to represent traditional owners at a senior level and improve joint management outcomes.

  • Relocation assistance, should you be moving to the region; and
  • Subsidised, fully furnished accommodation for the first four months.
The Central Land Council is dedicated to delivering ongoing professional development and career progression for its people. You will have the opportunity to undertake professional development and to take part in a number of new projects as the organisation continues to grow and innovate.
