Instructional Designer
Scope of Works:
The Instructional Designer performs an important role in planning, developing and optimising instructional materials, including online courses, user support guides, instruction manuals, multimedia training modules and assessments to support the user's moment of learning need.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: $500.00 – $600.00 per day
Work Location: In person

The Instructional Designer performs an important role in planning, developing and optimising instructional materials, including online courses, user support guides, instruction manuals, multimedia training modules and assessments to support the user's moment of learning need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deliver engaging interactive online learning course, content and materials via digital e Learning environments and the established content approval processes.
- Develop high quality, graphically consistent and professionally designed online learning resources including demonstration and animation videos and concept graphics using software simulation tools e.g. ADOBE Captivate, Articulate 360 Storyline or similar.
- Develop detailed storyboards, templates, and resources to enable the production of solutions (classroom, e Learning, video etc.)
- Build knowledge and skills within the Business teams on the development, editing and ongoing management of the support materials including the management and updates of all training assets in document repositories.
- Develop Trainer manuals, rubrics and other teaching tools and coach Trainers in how to use learning technologies as required.
- Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to develop course content
- 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar role e.g. developing learning resources (software simulation/screencasts, video-based learning, technical webinars, virtual classrooms, e-learning courses, instructor-led courses or Help articles and technical user guides).
- Proven ability to integrate adult learning theory and instructional design methodology into an appropriate mix of delivery media.
- Experience and skills in online learning development and associated technologies (e.g. SCORM; Learning Management Systems, Camtasia, Articulate 360)
- Highly developed writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail when it comes to grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency and adherence to an organisation’s documentation standards
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work on multiple concurrent tasks, dealing within competing pressures, multiple stakeholders, unplanned change and meeting tight timeframes
- Familiarity with Help authoring tools e.g. Madcap Flare or similar
- Qualifications in Instructional Design or Training & Assessment and or Technical Writing, Content Development is desirable
- Adaptable and self-managing, and thrives in a fast-paced, high energy environment
- High level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain networks and relate to stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work in a large team environment with members of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
