The Medico-Legal Support Officer role supports the Medico-Legal team and administrative tasks.

  • Provide admin support to Medico-Legal team and transcription services.
  • Assist clinicians with LHD transcription software across all hospital sites.
  • Handle reception duties and manage requests for patient information.
  • Process and ensure accuracy of typed clinical correspondence.
  • Maintain and update health records, ensuring legal compliance.

What you'll be doing
The Medico-Legal Support Officer at Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) provides essential administrative support to the Medico-Legal team, ensuring efficient handling of transcription services and patient records.

  • Support clinicians with transcription software.
  • Undertake reception duties and manage information requests.
  • Process and ensure accuracy of clinical documents.
  • Maintain and update electronic health records.
  • Report transcription statistics to the manager.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in accessing patient/client records
  • High level computer skills with an emphasis on speed and quality

  • Experience in an administrative position and/or knowledge and experience in health administrative functions.
