What you'll be doing
You will play a key role in maintaining pharmacy operations, providing essential support to patients and pharmacists in the hospital.
- Pharmacy reception and customer service.
- Stock maintenance and drug distribution.
- Dispensing inpatient, outpatient, and discharge prescriptions.
- Extemporaneous and sterile manufacturing.
- Ensuring quality control and assisting with training.
About You:
Whether you're just starting or have advanced certification, your commitment will make a difference in our team.
- Pharmacy Technician Grade 1: You’ll hold a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, or a Certificate III in Hospital and Community Pharmacy (or an equivalent qualification).
- Pharmacy Technician Grade 2: You’ll have completed a nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV (or an equivalent qualification). You’ll work under the supervision of a pharmacist or senior pharmacy technician.

Essential Requirements
- Qualification: Certificate III issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital and Community Pharmacy (e.g. Charles Sturt University), Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV or has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with capability to relay information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Experience with information technology and familiar with the use pharmacy software e.g. i Pharmacy system - in order to carry out the duties in the position description.
- Recent Australian hospital pharmacy experience where employed as a pharmacy technician including demonstrated skills in accuracy and attention to detail in dispensing pharmaceuticals under supervision.
- Ability to understand and adhere to departmental policy and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated experience as working as part of a team to produce good results.
