**What’s the role?**
Lead the strategy, production and optimisation of high-value visual content across the Sports Networks.
Lead the implementation of on and off-platform video-led storytelling.
The role will be crucial to how we cover major events, breaking news, the live and the lives of Australia’s passion _ Sports.
It will lead sports video producers within the Sports Network, creating and publishing original journalism.
The role will report to the Executive Editor of Sport Network with a dotted line to the National Head of Vision, providing functional direction in the video sphere and maintaining a robust community of practice that shares innovative ideas and solutions to enhance Video’s impact in our storytelling.

**About the role:**
+ Deliver Video based storytelling innovation with the goal of engaging new and existing audiences wherever they are to accelerate our growth
+ Lead a small team of visual experts focused on delivering high-quality content for our Sports team
+ Working with the National Head of Vision and alongside the other masthead Heads of Vision, foster strong ties across the other brands in driving successful video content initiatives.
+ Deliver a visual-first approach across all Sports content for a wide range of projects
+ Ensure singular visibility and a joined-up strategy to deliver across all visual storytelling content outputs from video to photographic across all channels
+ Lead the Sports video team and picture desk, responsible for creating visually-rich sports news experiences.
+ Identify opportunities and deliver original content ideas across video, graphics and photographic
+ Manage and support your direct reports, including recruiting, career development, and training.
+ Work with the National Head of Vision to formulate and communicate video team goals, and track progress throughout the year
+ Oversee the sports production and post-production teams, tasked with ensuring we have technology necessary for video-led journalism.
+ Review, edit, and approve preliminary and final treatments, outlines, shooting scripts, newsroom video talent, production schedules, budgets, graphics, music, rough cuts, fine cuts, final narration, and final versions.
**Who are you?**
+ Tertiary qualifications in video production
+ Extensive experience in a sporting/newsroom environment
+ Highly skilled in the use of editing software, especially Adobe Premiere Pro
+ Exceptional attention to detail
+ A team-first, can-do attitude
