ABOUT THE DIVISION

We are looking for people to work in Digital ID & Data Policy Division

The division is responsible for key Government priorities. If you like to be challenged, do new things every day, and work with people who are energised and excited about what they do, this might be the place for you. You will have the opportunity to be well connected and work in a central agency, giving you a birds-eye view across government, and be involved in nationally significant initiatives. You will also have the chance to work in a multi-agency environment, making valuable connections to help build your career.

You would join a high performing, dedicated team. We have attracted people of the highest calibre. Our work is high energy, fast paced and exciting. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities. We offer highly collaborative environments, where people are respected and where new ideas are welcomed. Everybody pitches in and has an opportunity to contribute and work on new things.

The division provides strategic and policy leadership and investment advice and oversight to drive Australia’s Digital ID System. The Division also coordinates decisions and actions across Commonwealth agencies and with state and territory governments to use data and digital opportunities to greatest effect. You will bring a fresh approach and a track record of delivery. In return, your contributions will be valued. You will learn on the job and may learn something new every day. We’re building new and important capability, and there is no established rule book. Legislation, policies and rules provide a framework, but there is plenty of scope to work through the most effective and efficient way of doing things.

If you have expertise in these areas and want to work in an environment where you can make a real difference and see results quickly, this role could suit you. Successful candidates will be included in a merit list and may be considered for similar roles (future vacancies may require higher level security clearance).
