How will I help?
As an Executive Manager in the Group Regulatory Affairs team, you will be responsible for leading engagements with Westpac's key regulators to help deliver Westpac's regulatory strategy.
Group Regulatory Affairs drives a consistent and cohesive approach to regulatory interactions that promotes open, constructive, and co-operative regulatory relationships, building mutual trust and confidence between our regulators and Westpac.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading regulatory relationships across a portfolio of engagements, ensuring the maintenance of an open and transparent relationship with regulators.
- Leveraging relationships and industry expertise to guide effective regulatory decision-making, risk management, and providing strategic advice on regulatory matters.
- Analysing the regulatory landscape and providing strategic insights into materials for senior stakeholders, outlining current and emerging regulatory risks and trends.
- Providing advice and guidance to senior stakeholders on regulatory engagements, including input into briefing sessions before key interactions.
- Attending meetings with regulators and facilitating effective interactions, including through input to, and the review of, meeting materials.
- Managing responses to regulatory requests and working closely with business areas to ensure Westpac understands and delivers against regulatory expectations.
- Proactively contributing to the leadership of the Group Regulatory Affairs team, including supporting team members.
- Developing an understanding of relevant regulatory policies and guidance and maintaining operational excellence when following internal processes.

What do I need?
- Strong knowledge of financial regulators and their expectations, the regulatory landscape, and experience in directly engaging with regulators.
- The ability to effectively interact and influence stakeholders at all levels (including senior and executive stakeholders) and to understand the practical business implications of regulatory activities and expectations.
- Ability to exercise judgement and offer constructive challenge in managing regulatory engagements.
- Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and easily adjusts to changing priorities and tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, planning and organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines and with autonomy.
