About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Electrical Supervisor and work on a 2:2 roster (day and night shift). Your focus will be on maintaining fixed plant to ensure reliable operations in line with operational targets, statutory regulations, and company standards.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and instrumentation, including calibration, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues.
- Conducting preventive maintenance routines to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with company and statutory standards.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Documenting maintenance activities, equipment status, and work orders accurately in the maintenance management system (Pronto).
- Collaborating with other teams to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Complying with all safety standards, procedures, and processes while demonstrating exemplary behaviour.
About You
Our preferred candidate will have solid experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, including expertise in failure analysis and fault-finding, ideally with fixed plant processing systems in the mining industry.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A Grade Electrical Worker's Licence (WA).
- Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation.
- Certificate in High Voltage Switching Operations.
- First aid certificate including Low Voltage Rescue and CPR.
- C Class Driver’s Licence (manual).
- High voltage switching and maintenance experience.
- Proficient in using computerised maintenance management systems such Pronto or SAP.
