We are looking to fill two roles which play a crucial part in uplifting leadership capability across Defence.
- Assistant Director, Leadership Strategies - you will collaborate with stakeholders from across the department and the APS to design, develop and deliver innovative leadership development strategies and solutions to uplift workforce capability and inspire a proactive learning environment and culture.
- Assistant Director, Leadership Programs - you will manage our enterprise-wide leadership development initiatives. You will have a solid understanding of the development needs of senior leaders and be comfortable engaging with leaders at all levels. You will oversee the delivery of a range of leadership programs, including working with service providers to continuously refine programs to ensure relevance and impact.

Defence Learning Branch enables the development and delivery of corporate training and APS learning and development to support the Defence Mission. Through a collaborative approach, we adopt innovative, contemporary learning solutions, technologies, principles, and approaches to optimise the learner experience. We invest in the growth and development of our most important asset, our people.
The Leadership Capability team sits in the Defence Learning Branch and builds leadership strategies and frameworks to lift workforce capabilities. We help leaders at every level to reach their potential and identify their requirements by delivering a customised range of resources and training. Our main workplace hubs are in Melbourne, Canberra and Adelaide. We support flexible working arrangements. This recruitment process may also be used to fill vacancies elsewhere in the Defence Learning Branch.
