About the Role
Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in Mascot on a casual basis, you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.
To provide best support, we are seeking applicants from candidates who are fluent in Spanish and English and have previous experience supporting people with disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
- Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
- Maintain thorough record keeping
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
- Advocate for client choice and control
Skills & Experience
- Fluent in Spanish
- Experience working with people with disability
- Previous experience with catheter and stoma care
- Manual Handling Experience
- An understanding of dementia care
- An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
