Job Description
We are looking for energised and engaging Disability Support Workers to join award winning Mercy Connect Limited. As a recipient of the Telstra Best of Business State Award- winning the Championing Health/Embracing Innovation we have new and exciting services and programs to offer people with disability. We are expanding and looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who have strong interest in working people with disability, including children and young adults. The Role: As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist people who have a disability with daily living tasks and community inclusion and participation activities. A wide range of tasks are undertaken in the context of supporting the person to maintain their mental and physical wellbeing, explore opportunities and work towards agreed outcomes that are important to, and for, the person. About you:
Develop supportive working relationships with individuals and teams
Gain the confidence, trust and respect of Participants and colleagues
Recognise the importance of dignity and the rights of people with disability
Provide support in line with Mercy Connects mission and values, and comply with organisational policies, procedures, NDIS Practice standards
Desired Skills and Experience
Availability for shiftwork on a rotating 4 week roster, including sleepovers, active nights and weekends.
A current drivers licence
