Disability Care / Community Support Workers Needed
Are you an experienced female support worker with a passion for making a difference in a 24/7 Care setting? An adventurous NDIS participant is seeking vibrant, proactive female support staff to join her in her own home in Wanniassa and help her live her best life! What you’ll do:
Assist with all ADLs (you know, the basics: personal care, cooking, cleaning)
Organise appointments like a pro
Plan structured, daily activities—think swimming and community adventures
Help make her day-to-day life exciting, engaging, and fun
Implement behaviour support strategies and follow detailed care plans
Be a team player with strong communication skills
This is a 24/7 roster split into 3 – 4 services supporting someone who’s ready to explore the world, and we need someone with the same enthusiasm! We’re looking for someone who’s a team player, thrives on communication, and enjoys making a real difference. Please note you must be available to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week and at least one sleepover to maintain consistency. The Ideal You:
Experience supporting individuals in 24/7 care settings
A hands-on approach to life, always looking for new ways to engage
Organized, motivated, and creative—cooking, cleaning, and activity-planning superheroes are welcome!
Comfortable with behavior support plans and passionate about positive community engagement
The ability to problem solve and keep strictly to the program and routine
Ability to fulfil shift duties and have excellent time management skills
Have an appropriate visa to work in Australia
Min Cert 111 or above in disability, individual supports.
Current Police check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain prior to employment
Current first aid/CPR certificate
Driver's license and own fully insured transport
Working with Vulnerable Person Check (WVPC)
NDISWC (NDIS worker check)
Smartphone with the ability to install apps
Current knowledge of and including NSW/ACT Government vaccine requirements for essential workers.
completion of the NDIS new worker module or willingness to complete as part of the organisation's induction process
ability to implement positive behavior support strategies and an awareness of person-centred active support.
