Murrumbidgee Local Health District is implementing new and improved Models of Care as part of the Leading Better Value Care Program that provide an opportunity to deliver better value care for our consumers. The purpose of this position is to assist the implementation of a formalised Direct Access Colonoscopy (DAC) service across the district to reduce wait times for colonoscopy for people with a Positive Faecal Occult Test (FOBT).
The project lead position will work closely with the Surgical Services Network and key stakeholders both internal and external to the Local Health District to support the implementation of the three priority initiatives. The project officer will be required to:

Consult, liaise and work closely with clinicians and key stakeholders crucial to the implementation of the initiative.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Model of Care, policies, procedures, and guidelines essential to ensure governance and transparency.
Facilitate and lead delivery of key actions within agreed timeframes.
