We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Owner to join our Platform Engineering team. Reporting to the Infrastructure Engineering Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to mature the Bank’s cloud capabilities by delivering people, process, and technology changes aligned to the Cloud Platform 2024 Strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about change, enabling safe and secure cloud delivery and operations, and driving innovation and collaboration to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Role and responsibilities
- Contribute to delivering the Bank’s multi-year Cloud Platform Strategy
- Establish the Cloud Operating Model, uplifting internal skills and capabilities, and standardising the use of support partners to ensure effective, efficient, and safe use of cloud
- Lead the Cloud Technical Design Authority to develop, manage, enforce standards, patterns, guidelines, and other controls
- Ensure operational accountability by effectively managing people, financials, vendors and processes
- Lead, guide, and develop individuals and teams, including project teams where required, to effectively achieve required outcomes and KPI’s
- Empower and enable technology teams in a way that encourages continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, cross-skilling, and collaboration
- Enforce and contribute to improvements in policies, controls, and processes, embedding the Microsoft Well Architected Framework and ensuring alignment with best practices
- Develop, implement, and enforce baseline technology guardrails and security controls, maintaining accurate documentation
- Proactively identify and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, ensuring the timely delivery of technology solutions to agreed service levels
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, and other internal and external stakeholders ensuring expectations are continually aligned
To succeed in the role you must have:
- 7+ years experience as a Cloud Platform Manager, Owner, or similar role within a Hybrid or Multi-Cloud environment preferably in Banking or Government
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, system infrastructure, and platform operations across Saa S, Paa S and Iaa S
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical skills in managing change and run of cloud technology solutions that are reliable, resilient, and highly available
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and influence outcomes
- Have managed technical teams providing 24x7 critical operations
- Prior hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, Dev Ops, and Infrastructure Automation on Azure highly desirable
- Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset
