Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
We are searching for a versatile and innovative Clinical Research Fellow to join the Research team. You will provide a high level clinical and research service for a 12-month period from February 2025. As a mixed clinical and research position, this is a unique opportunity to receive high quality training from some of Perth’s leading specialists in respiratory and oncology research while providing clinical support to the junior doctor cohort
The Position

Participate in the development and conduct of clinical research in respiratory medicine / respiratory oncology

Participate in the conduct of clinical trials as a sub-investigator or co-investigator (as appropriate), and to liaise with the principal investigator when required.

Involvement in the multidisciplinary management of patients, including consultation requests for Allied Health and other medical specialties and nurse case managers.

Contribute to all aspects of clinical care of patients who are admitted to hospital; commit to a team approach in the delivery of care, working closely with nursing staff, allied health professionals, members of pastoral care services, and other clinicians both onsite and offsite.

Participate in MER calls.

Provide clinical supervision and teaching as required, and assist in the professional development of junior medical doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team

Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives
You will have General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with at least three years post graduate experience.
You will have a proven interest in clinical research and a desire to improve your research skills with strong planning and communication skills
