Your Role
As a care assistant you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:

Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
Assisting clients to develop skills to encourage their independence
Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
Assisting clients with their medication requirements
Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our clients' care

Sponsorship Eligibility Requirements

Valid Visa
Must hold a valid visa with more than 6 months remaining, allowing full-time work during the DAMA visa application.
Health Insurance
Must currently have adequate health insurance.
Relevant Qualification
A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Home & Community Care is required.
Work Experience
At least 12 months of consistent work experience after completing Certificate III, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Age Requirement
Candidates must be under the age of 55.
English Proficiency
Must have an IELTS overall score of 5.0, with no individual band scoring below 4.5.
Skills Assessment
Must either hold or be willing to obtain an ANMAC Skills Assessment for Personal Care Assistant (ANZSCO 423313).
Relocation Availability
Must be ready to relocate to Malanda/Innisfail/Port Douglas in November or December.

All role requirements outlined in the current Position Description will remain applicable.

Visa Applicant Costs
The visa cost is divided into two parts: sponsorship and application fees.

Ozcare Coverage: Ozcare will fully cover all nomination-related expenses.
Applicant's Responsibility: You will be responsible for covering the visa application fees for yourself and any family members accompanying you. The total cost will vary based on the number of dependants included in your application and the cost of the skills assessment. For a single applicant, the estimated cost is approximately 5,500 AUD, excluding medical exams, police clearances, and other incidental expenses. Additional fees will apply for dependants and if you require help with a skills assessment from an immigration agent.
