Community Solutions are proud to be partnering with Cassowary Coast Regional Council & are currently seeking talent as part of the council’s annual traineeship & Apprenticeship program. With 8 vacancies across 4 different industries, now is an exciting time to take your ambitions to a new level and start your career with skilled & dedicated industry leaders who will guide & train you; whilst you gain your qualification. We are seeking 3 candidates with a genuine interest in working in an office environment and taking part in a Business Traineeship that will be based in two locations on the Cassowary Coast (2 X Tully & 1 X Innisfail). The successful candidates will have passion to work in the business/finance industry and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and focus on quality of work whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Key Outcomes & Key Accountabilities of these traineeships will be focused on service delivery and ensuring customers have a great experience and have confidence in the services delivered. Administration: Assist with administration support, customer service, purchase requisitions/ orders, collection and distribution of departmental mail, maintenance of stationary supplies, administration and maintenance of a shared inbox including completing and delegating tasks Finance Department: Undertake designated administrative duties in general finance operations: Payroll and Accounts Payable, bank reconciliation, including data input, reconciling bank statements, timesheet and leave entry, filing and archiving and other duties as required
Rates Section and Accounts Receivable - filing, data entry, maintenance of property records, rates arrangements, customer service via phone and face-to-face, rates recovery duties, creating and distributing invoices and credit notes, distributing reference checks
Customer Service – Deliver quality customer services, telephone communications, counter customer services duties, reconciliations, mail preparation and other duties as required
Record Keeping – Capture, scan and registration of paper and electronic documents into Council’s record keeping system
Requirements:
Secondary school education to Year 10 standard
Computer skills and ability in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong focus on quality of work whilst maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Drivers Licence (desirable)
Who We Are? Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
