BNE1 Inbound Process Assistant

Associates hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center. There are several types of roles that hold different job-specific responsibilities including:

Process Assistant:
Smooth operator. Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties and communicating with internal and external suppliers. Escalates barriers to Operations leaders. Drives and executes standard work in the areas of Safety, Quality and Productivity to meet daily operational goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent diploma • 1+ year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) • Able to work 40 hours/week and overtime as required Able to lift up to 15Kgs, stand/walk for shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred qualifications

  • Education beyond High School, and/or prior experience managing employees • Strong background and proven ability to work in a team environment • Excellent interpersonal skills • Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills • Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of Amazon associates and management • Ability to be proactive and work well with others • Experience working in Problem Solve a plus • Leadership ability • Respect from associates in production area • Well organized and detail oriented • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment • Accurate and reliable and understand the importance of deadlines
Key job responsibilities
Support and work in the department as required
  • Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers
  • Providing vacation coverage for Area Managers
  • Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
  • Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours
  • Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
  • Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
  • Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
  • Filling in as needed with production duties
  • Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
  • Reviewing and updating SOP as required
  • Assisting in keeping work area clean and organized
  • Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area
  • Coaching associates to work safely at all times
  • Participating in safety initiatives
  • Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
