Bond Swimming is positioned among the top five clubs in Australia and has a proud record of excellence in the sport. Our Bond Swimming squads include Pathways, Performance and Surf. Our Performance Squad, which benefits from being coached by Australia's most experienced practitioners, is responsible for developing many Olympic champions.
Our Elite Surf Swim Squad boasts the biggest names in the Ironman and Ironwoman competitions.
Reporting to the Director of Swimming, the Assistant Swimming Coach is crucial in supporting the Head Coach and Senior Assistant Coach. This position involves:
- Delivering expert coaching and implementing best-practice swimming techniques.
- Assisting in the design and execution of swim programs for all levels and age groups.
- Maintaining high standards of safety and ensuring compliance with OHS standards.
- Managing administrative tasks related to swimming meets, program effectiveness, and customer service.
Typical shifts for this position will include Mornings- Monday to Friday, 5.00 am – 8.30 am, Weekday Afternoons (3 days only) 3.45 pm – 6.00pm and Saturday mornings: 5.45 am - 8.30 am.
About the person
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Minimum SCTA Development level Swim Coaching Qualification
- Current first aid certificate and lifeguard qualification
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Salary details
The salary for this (FTE 0.6) position commences at $45,136 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $69,843.17 per annum) plus 12% superannuation per annum. The base salary will attract shift penalties loading for early morning and weekend shift work.
