Role based in Parramatta/Sydney with flexible/hybrid working environment.
Clerk Grade 5/6; salary based on experience from $93,295 to $102,941 + plus super.
As an Assistant Finance and Assurance Officer you’ll be supporting the optimal financial functioning of the State’s disaster expenditure funding by assisting the Funding Arrangements team to undertake financial assurance and audit functions as required. This role is critical in managing the State’s consolidation of natural disaster expenditure and providing assurance on the eligibility of NSW Government agency’s reimbursement claims against the State’s Disaster Relief Account.
We are looking for someone:
To assist in maintaining the General Ledger within a robust financial system, ensuring accurate and timely recording of natural disaster expenditure
To work collaboratively within the NSW Reconstruction Authority to ensure that processes and procedures are best practice.
To handle the timely and accurate processing of agency reimbursement claims from the Disaster Relief Account (DRA).
To provide general project and operational support as required, applying sound project management principles to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
With an in-depth understanding of the auditing standards, accounting standards, acquittal skills and reporting gained from practical and hands on experience.
