SALTAS (Salmon Enterprises of Tasmania Pty Limited) description We are a registered Research Service Provider specialising in facilitating selective breeding services for the Tasmanian salmon farming industry through our Selective Breeding Program (SBP - https://saltas.com.au/selective-breeding-program/). Our hatchery's mission is to produce the highest quality salmon smolt and eyed eggs, and to run an internationally recognised and award-winning selective breeding program to produce healthier, better-growing fish. Duties specific to this job may include, but are not limited to: Operational Support The position requires high level of motivation and self-management, attention to details and a strong work ethic. Assist with a variety of administrative support functions to operations, including · Updating Fish Talk database, draw reports as needed · Environmental compliance reports · Update SOP’s, Policies and Procedure documentation · Site surveys and actions lists · Assist with inventories, example chemical, feed, health sampling consumables · Chemical inventories · WHS incident reporting · Compliance administration · Water quality sampling, data collection · Sludge sampling, site nutrient budgets · HR management aspects as required · Provide assistance and job training to team members when required · Blood chloride sampling if required Reporting · Weekly bullet report debriefs on Friday with tasks achieved, challenges, wins, etc. · Fortnightly general meeting with GM, CFO and other managers and lead TO’s. Qualification Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification or at least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
