The Role
The Exercise and Committee Support Officer is an integral member of the operational international engagement staff. They will promote efficiency and effectiveness in international exercise planning and support, particularly in the staffing and conduct of international committees and dialogues. They will manage information and systems across the section to assure compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, and Defence guidelines and regulations relating to international engagement and exercise management.

HQJOC J58 – International Engagement and International Exercises.
Core functions include:
- Strategic planning of HQJOC operational international engagement and key leadership engagement.
- Bilateral international exercise concept development and design.
- Leadership of a range of bilateral international exercise and operations working groups.
- Secretariat function for key military to military committees and international dialogue.
- Leadership and coordination of HQJOC input to International Policy Papers.
