The Role
Defence Finance Group (DFG) is seeking experienced and enthusiastic finance professionals to join the Navy Finance team for current vacancies in Canberra, Adelaide, Nowra and Darwin.
The APS 5 Finance Analyst is a customer facing role working in a small and dynamic team in the provision of strategic financial advice to key clients, both uniformed and civilian. The Finance Analyst will also assist clients in the identification of financial risks and opportunities, understanding of cost drivers and impacts on capability, and forecasting of End of Financial Year achievement. Some of the key duties of this role include:
- Provide financial management support, assist with budget preparation and financial performance monitoring and reporting in accordance with Defence objectives.
- Understand and provide advice on Defence and government financial management matters.
- Apply financial management knowledge and undertake objective and systematic analysis to draw accurate conclusions based on evidence.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders, and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
